My new poem April 1, 2011
Posted by emilyd12 in : Uncategorized , 5 commentsThe Wind
The wind is a ghost
Wailing in my ears,
It was cold in my eyes
And they turned to tears.
Howling like a wolf
Giving me a chill,
Staring at its prey,
Getting ready to kill.
I felt the need to run away,
But I was drawn to the sound,
And needed to stay.
The wind seemed so angry
And terribly cross,
Screaming at me
Who was the boss.
I got blown over!
It was very rough.
I decided to go home
I’d had enough!
The Y5/Y6 Trip for France March 20, 2011
Posted by year5 in : Uncategorized , 11 commentsBright and early on Friday morning we set off from school and then spent a very happy few hours listening to Demi asking “Are we nearly there yet?” and the children at the back singing endless rounds of The Wheels on the Bus – a song that our lovely coach driver said that he hadn’t ever heard sung before!
Eventually we got to Dover where we were all delighted to see that our ferry was ready and waiting for us. When we got on the ferry we sat down and soon we were on our way. After what felt like a really long journey, we saw France!
Then we got off the ferry and back on the coach. It was only an hour before we reached Le Pre Catelan. Although it was rainy, we were still really happy to be here. Mrs M announced our rooms to us and we got our luggage out of the coach.
It was hard work carrying our suitcases all the way up to our rooms but we really liked our rooms when we got there! The boys are in three rooms and the girls are in two rooms. Some of our beds are bunk beds and some are single beds. The rooms have wardrobes, sinks and beds in them.
Then it was time for dinner. The dinner roast pork, icecream and roast potatoes. It was mouth-wateringly tasty.
After dinner we had a quiz which some people found hard but some people said was easy! Then it was time for bed.

wings March 19, 2011

If I had wings
I would look down
At the tiny people
Help them like superman
If I had wings
I would fly a cross
The blue sky
If I had wings
Only God knows
What I would do.

Sweet mother I never forget you
for the suffer you suffer for me..
When I cry, my mother carry me–she say,
‘my sweety’,why you cry, stop dont cry again
When I want sleep, my mother pat me,
she lie me well for bed she cover me cloth, sing me to sleep,
“sleep sleep my sweety…
Sweet mother I never forget you
for the suffer you suffer for me..
I Love my mother.

twinkle in the beauty of the sun…
It was so quiet I heard the rain
sulked by the fire buning sun…
It was so peaceful that I saw
a wave heading for me in my
handwriteing… By Erin.M.W

It was so silent that I heard
The trees whisper to each other…
It was so peaceful that I heard
The tapping of a lady birds feet…
It was so still that I heard
The pecking of a wood pecker from miles away…
It was so silent that I heard
The sound of traffic far away from home….
It was so silent that I heard
The sun burning up in the sky
And I felt happy inside…

A poem to be spoken silently
It was so silent that I heard
the man on the moon
shouting to me…
It was so still that I felt
a guitar’s vibration
move me…
IT was so silent that I heard
the world
on its axis…
It was so still that I felt
the dangers from underground
shimmer my feet
as they scuttled freely…
